Indian national arrested in Netrakona for trespassing
Police have arrested an Indian national named Mohidul Mandal (27) for trespassing in Durgapur upazila of Netrakona. He was first arrested from the Dakshinpara area of the municipality on Thursday evening. Later, on Friday afternoon, he was shown arrested and sent to court in a case filed against him. The arrested Mohidul Mandal is the son of Surat Mandal of Malda Paschimpara village of Bagda police station in North 24 Parganas, India. According to local people and police sources, local residents became suspicious when they saw Mohidul Mandal roaming around in Birishiri and Dakshinpara areas of Durgapur municipality on Thursday. When the local residents informed the upazila administration, police and law enforcement agencies about the matter, the police arrested him and took him to the police station. The police filed a case against him under the Trespass Act as a complainant in the incident. In this regard, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Durgapur police station Md. Mahmudul Hasan said that during interrogation, Mohidul said that he has been doing the business of scrap metal in Delhi, India for a long time. Two weeks ago, he entered Bangladesh illegally in the hope of work. Later, he moved to Durgapur by visiting various places. As he did not have any valid documents, a case has been filed against him at Durgapur Police Station under the Intrusion Act. In this case, he was arrested and sent to court.
